Mini-Flash USB Programming Cable!
I
finally designed a cool USB programming cable, hopefully one day it will replace
the old RS232 9-pin programming cable I've shipped with Mini-Flash kits. I
have 5 being tested right now and all appears positive! More info can be
viewed by CLICKING HERE! |

(Happy New Year!) |
Been busy building and selling Mini-Flash and Mini-Beacon
controllers. Thanks goes out to all customers for your patronage. As
long as you keep wanting my gadgets, I'll keep building and selling!
One neat feature I'm trying out this year is a live Support/Chat function
on my webpage. You can find it under the Forums/Chat window (see left
menu) or simply click on the link below. Try it out! Hope to see you
on there...

I finally got around to putting together webpages for a few new
R/C gadgets... the Maxi-Switch (left) and
Maxi-Flash (right) projects.
The Maxi Switch is a high current electronic switch controllable
from your R/C gear. The Maxi-Flash is similar to the Mini-Flash except it
can control high loads, up to 30 amps for each of the 4 output channel |

Two New R/C Products!
"Mini-Beacon" & "Maxi-Switch"
DIYRC is proud to announce the addition of two newly inspired R/C
electronic projects.
The
"Mini-Beacon"
is a stand-alone R/C controlled radiating beacon simulator that drives LEDs
(up to 600mA max). The LED light slowly ramps up, Flashes
Brightly momentarily, then slowly decays. It pauses and repeats
indefinitely. One (1) of twelve (12) flashing patterns can be programmed
by using a single jumper
The
"Maxi-Switch" is an
R/C-controlled High Amperage switch that is capable of controlling DC loads up
to 30 amps. The switch normally allows you to use a separate power
(input) and provides for a switched output. With the use of a jumper, you can configure the
switch to use the servo cable power instead of an external source (for 5v, low
current switching applications).

Update to the Mini-Flash!
We are now using a standard .025" square, dual row header for the
Miniflash LED connector. This allows user to plug in other LED from other
LED systems such as Curtek and RAM systems.
The
older machine-pin header that was being used (costly and easily breakable) has
been replaced with a stronger and more standard header as shown in the picture
to the left.

Check out the
New "MINI-FLASH" Programmable LED Flasher/Sequencer !.
This is a newly designed programmable LED
flasher/sequencer based around its big brother, the "PRO-FLASH". The only
difference with the Mini-Flash is that it only has 4 LED channels instead of 8.
All other functionality remains, including programmable servo control! |

Updates have been
made to the R/C Servo Glitch Trap/Filter page...
This is a newly designed Servo Glitch trap
that uses only 3 components (a CD4068 Hex Buffer, a 1K resistor and a .01uF
capacitor). Simple and sweet! More coming soon so check back often
(or simply watch this "What's New" page for updates!) |

CHECK OUT THE NEW
PROGRAMMABLE LED SEQUENCER/FLASHER !!
This is a newly designed LED
Sequencer/Flasher circuit that is compact, weighs very little and most
importantly, is user-programmable via a unigue, intuitive PC-based program that
is FREE to Download |

THE AIPTEK ELECTRONIC SWITCH
PROBLEM HAS BEEN RESOLVED !!
The Aiptek switch design needs
to add a resistor from Pin#2 (the programming input pin on the PIC) to
ground, as to not let it "float". I will be making these webpage
updates shortly... |
May 30th, 2005 |
Made some updates to the following webpage:
Lithium Poly
Charger Project
CURRENTLY UNDER INVESTIGATION !!
I have also been having issues with Aiptek camera mods using the PICAXE
controllers. It appears that issues arise when using certain BEC/brushless
controllers. There's a possibility that these might be causing "noise"
that interrupts the operation of the PIC controller. (darn EMI !) |

Added webpage for newly developed PIC-based Aiptek shutter
switch. Click here to see new PIC
projects! |

Preliminary re-vamp of " Tom's R/C Electronics Gadgets
& Projects Webpage (frames). Now with a new domain name.... "http://www.diyrc.com"
