A lil' history ...
This projects will describe a simple Servo Reverser that can be cheaply built
using a CD4001 NOR gate, 4 resistors, 3 capacitors and one variable potentiometer
(see schematic below).
More coming soon... (i.e., PCB and building design
notes...)
Design Criteria Summary:
1) Design a simple 1-IC Servo Reverser! That
simple!
2) Non-PIC project (this is too easy for a PIC any way!)
3) Interfaces between your receiver and servo
4) Small PCB and minimal components
5) Derives power from the connection to your receiver
6) Adjustable "centering" via variable resistor (potentiometer)
Parts & Tools List
...
1) One
(1) CD4001 CMOS IC (Quad NOR)
2) Two (2) 1K Resistor
3) One (1) 10K Resistor
4) One (1) 56K Resistor
5) One (1) 100K Variable Resistor (Potentiometer)
6) Two (2) .1uF Capacitor
7) One (1) 22uF Capacitor
8) Input/Output Servo Connectors (1 each, Male/Female)
Building Instructions...
The circuit/schematic is shown below (PCB is pending...) :
NOTE: If you only require a servo reverser output, you can omit the
connections to IC1d (pins 12, 13 and 11), while omitting R4.
Testing and Operation Instructions...
